India beats Pakistan at Abu Dhabi by 51 runs

India levelled the series(1-1) against arch rival Pakistan(218/10) at Abu Dhabi.India's Captain won the toss and elected to bat first.Dravid opened the innings with Sehwag, who is returning to team after a while, and made 138 runs for the first wicket.Dravid went on to score 92 runs(4x10) and put india on a comfortable score of 269/5.Sehwag made 73 runs in his usual aggressive manner, which surely has helped him to realise his potential.Agarkar bowled well and took 1 wicket.

Pakistan fumbled from start losing some early wickets to Irfan Pathan,as usual, while the required runrate went up.Sreesanth bowled very well restricting the batsmen in the initial overs and creating pressure.Apart from Shoaib Malik and Inzy there were no mentionable scores made by others.Powar managed to strangulate the batsman initially and took 3 wickets but could not control the runs later.Inzy was run-out by Dravid,AGAIN,which made the task easier to India. He was able to score 79 before Dravid managed a direct throw.

Dravid was awarded Man of the Match for his captain skills and batting, while Inzy was given Man of the Series. So,Both Captains are happy in the end :) .

Proteas win their 100th Test

South Africa recorded 100th Test Win in South African Cricket History.Proteas defeated Kiwis by 128 runs at Centurion Stadium.Shaun Pollock and Kallis were playing their 100th Test Match for South Africa.Ntini took 10 wickets in the match and was awarded 'Man of the Match'.

This win should inspire Proteas and help them to get into the game.Recently they were defeated comprehensively by the Australians at home and in Australia and the series at home was a complete whitewash and Ponting,Australian Captain, went on the extent to say that South Africa did not deserve to win any of the test matches in the last 4-5 months.

Proteas are known for their bad luck and also they have some of the best players in cricket history but often it looks they fail to create an impression as a team and miss the opportunities like amateurs.

Lara hits 28 runs(6x2,4x4) in one over

Brian Lara, one of the best batsmen who have dawned onto the cricket world hits 28 runs(6x2,4x4) in one over against South African Spinner.Lara has proved many a times that he is the nightmare for the spinners.Even Warne was beaten by Lara across the boundaries innumerable times.Lara has a very good footwork and one feels as if he is dancing on the crease watching the ball changing his position to hit the ball as hard as possible and send it outside the ground...
Hats off....

Ambrose threatens Australians with his spellbound spell 7/1

Curtly Ambrose humbles the Australians with his magnificient spell 7/1. His bowling is sheer beauty and the way he swings his ball is really great. No wonder Current West Indies team is suffering now after most of its senior players have retired and none of the young players are delivering what their ealier generations have done.

Enjoy the beauty of bowling

England' Freddie hitting South African bowlers in 2003

Andrew Flintoff,all-rounder,match winner and the inspirer of England Cricket is literally bombarding the South African bowlers in the Test Series 2003.No matter the point of his arrival in the game,he takes on the bowlers and sending the ball all around the field. One can see how dominating is his batting in the Test Matches.NO wonder he is considered as one of the Best All arounders in the Cricket. And England hopes that he would be able to carry the team to the World Cup 2007 as Lance Klusener,Zulu did for the South African All-rounder did in earlier world cup.

Enthused "TEAM INDIA"

India won the last ODI of the series againt England played at Indore,India.

Before the match started there were lot of questions about the Indian Batting line-up.Sehwag,Dhoni and Kaif were rested for the last match. And new boy Uthappa was given a chance to open the innings chasing a huge score.Along with the press, fans were also worried about the Dravid's team selection with Five Specialist bowlers on Batting Pitch of Indore.

Later Dravid proved to everyone that his planning and estimate were very perfect.Team India has won consecutively 16th match chasing the score and setting a new record.

One can say the the 'experimentation' planned by Chappell and Dravid has helped to create new records at this venue.Sreesanth took his career best of 6/55 and Robin Uthappa made highest Indian ODI debut score of 86 and he has come into limelight at the time where Sehwag is struggling as a opener and Kaif is not able to deliver the goods.

Yuvraj has proved to be a consistent performer in this series and he sealed a Consecutive 'Man of the Series' Award after the pakistan series.Dravid has proved himself as an abled-captain who is ready to take calculated-risks and tough decisions.Suresh Raina, was re-invented in this series, with this swift fielding skills and superb knocks in the lower-middle order has made the Batting Spine much stronger.

I wonder how the batting line-up would after Sachin and Sehwag return to the team and FORM.
Most amazing thing that has been observed in the Indian team in the last two series is that the Indian Players are not fumbling or not losing any bit confidence even while they are chasing big scores or when the top-order wickets fell at early score.

With this series Coach and Captain has proved to everyone that they have lot of options available for any position in the team and they are raring to make waves in the World Cup 2007.

Australian Test Bowler,Shane Warne Share his Best wickets in this Video

Shane Warne, the best spin bowler in the contemporary cricket presents his personal best 8 wickets in his career.
Here we can see that the role of the batsmen is completely nill.Without their presence/interference the ball travels to the wickets and rearranges them.
One couldnt possibly think of playing against the spin of this bowler until Maestro Sachin has played it.
Shane Warne himself has confessed in the press conference that in his dreams he could see Sachin bombarding his bowling and sending the ball outside the stadium.Such was the influnence of the Indian Great Batsman,Sachin Tendulkar.

WILLS World Cup Cricket Finals 1996

Australia vs Sri Lanka
No-one had dominated a World Cup final to the extent that de Silva did here. He took two catches and three wickets, including Australia's top-scorers Taylor and Ponting, then strolled to an elegant 107 not out. Handicapped by a slippery, dew-covered ball, Australia dropped several chances, but never looked like defending 241.

Thus was created a meeting, in the final, between two teams who were prevented by politics and expediency from playing each other earlier. Sri Lanka’s victory was to the great approval and acclaim of much of the cricketing world. It was also a result that, to some degree, rescued this World Cup from an abiding image of bungling mediocrity.
